Im going to make a page specifically for other nail blogs. If you’d like to be on the page for my followers to see, leave your tumblr address (in this format - YOURTUMBLRNAME.tumblr.com) on this post and i’ll add it to this ‘Favorites’ page.
Or - if you know of one, but it isnt yours personally, you may leave those addresses too. I would prefer that these are actual people who do their own nails, and not just nail art tumblrs that do a ton of re-blogging like this one. I want to recommend real people & their work.
Thanks!
From this point forward, when you click the “Ask Me” link on my page, or type a question into the ask box, it will automatically be sent to asknailcrazy.tumblr.com.
*If you have asked a question, it will not appear on nailcrazy’s main blog. You will need to visit asknailcrazy.tumblr.com to read answers to all questions.
Due to an increase in the amount of questions nailcrazy is recieving, and the fact that I dont want to flood my followers dashboards, I am considering re-directing my ask box to a seperate tumblelog.
This would mean a few things:
So what is your opinion???? Yes or no??
libratistic asked: i've seen nail pictures with newspaper print on them and i'm wondering if you could tell me how they do that please?
I’ve never tried them before but here’s a link i found w/ a video tutorial. And here is the girl’s blog.
Anonymous asked: is minx polish not like regular nail polish? i know they sell some professional polish in stores, dont they? sorry lol i just wasnt expecting it to not be sold in stores.
It’s not nail polish. Its like a nail applique that has to be applied to the nail in a certain way. » http://nailcrazy.tumblr.com/post/741941416/minx
To all nail enthusiasts, what do you guys use to store/display your nail polishes? (I’m only asking because I’m looking for a display thing (like a shelf) to put my polishes, and not in a basket in my closet) :)?
Incase any of you order from transdesign.com, you may or may not have noticed they are now using UPS flat rate boxes for their shipping, which increases the shipping from $7 for 1lb up to $20 flat for each box needed to ship your items (in most cases this will only be one box as the flat rate boxes are not super tiny).
Either way, I wont be paying $20 shipping. I just think thats a little ridiculous. If i only order a few polishes my shipping before would have been $7 and now it’s sky rocketed to $20. I just think this is outrageous.
moist-plinth asked: I have a question.
I have a lot of cuticle and I can't seem to get rid of it. When I push them back and cut the excess off it doesn't seem to make a big difference. I can't afford a cuticle remover so are there other ways to remove them?
Well, the cuticle remover i use was $5. It’s Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, and its sold at WalMart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. It works really well.
I wouldnt suggest cutting them, removing them w/ liquid remover and pushing them back is really the best way. Cutting can lead to infections from possibly slicing open parts of your skin while trying to remove the cutitcles. However, you can check out this website for some natural at-home ways to remove them.
Hope this helps, thanks!
stuckindirttown asked: ahhhhhhhh elf's matte finish is sold out on their website :(
That sucks! I know its sold at several random stores where i live, especially Target. Maybe you could check there.
whatsername1039 asked: Hi (: do you have any experience with acrylic nails? if so, have you done them yourself?
I just ordered a kit online, so I'm curious if they're hard to remove and stuff like that ^
I have never done them myself, but the vocational school i went to had a Cosmetology program and I had my nails done a few times by some of the girls there who were my friends. It didnt look too hard and they seemed to have fun with it, although it does take practice.
They are hard to remove. Very hard. You’re best bed would be to use clippers to cut off the tips, then soak them in 100% acetone for up to 15mins per hand, then use a white buffer block to slowly file them off. Once you’ve got them down to a pretty thin layer, you can then take an orangewood stick, or something similar to carefully pry them off. This is the best way to do it, otherwise you’re going to be ripping the acrylic + several layers on your natural nail off with it, leaving them super thin and brittle.
I hate acrylics but they look great. I got mine done in October 2010 for my wedding and my nails are STILL damaged from it.
missdeviousdiva asked: For the follower who wanted a matte top coat, Walmart has a Hard Candy one.
Supposedly Claire's sells one too, but they didn't have any when I went in to check.
I totally forgot about that HC one! I just seen it the other day, thanks!!
Anonymous asked: i've submitted a few times, but i dont think it ever got posted. )= why is that?
I post every single submission, so if it hasnt been posted i must have not recieved it, sorry. Unless there’s a chance you may have missed it when i posted it. If you think so, you can check the submissions.
expectopatronum asked:
Aha! I KNEW you wouldn’t be able to resist.
Thank you for being part of my experiment, it is most kindly appreciated.

Ahh, and I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist praise on your behalf.
You know, I’m sorry dear. You’re not fat, in fact, I never really said so, just implied it. Calling someone fat is very cruel and distasteful. I had to keep up appearances. You have helped me prove a theory. Again, I thank you kindly and keep up the good work here =)
I am not a professional nail artist. The images are not mine unless i state that they are. Feel free to submit your own post or ask any nail-related questions in my ask box. Sidebar image is mine.
